I was born and raised in Mexico City, where my family always encouraged our curiosity and thirst for knowledge. Growing up with two brilliant sisters who shared my passion for bettering the human experience, we spent our evenings reading books of questions gifted to us by our parents.
After graduating from the highly-regarded National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) with a degree in Communication Science and a specialty in Research and Teaching, I knew that technology was the field where I wanted to apply everything I had learned about humans, society, and culture.
I began my career in a consultancy/research lab within my university, where I quickly rose from project manager to Information Architect. My work there on virtual education projects opened my eyes to the potential of technology to revolutionize various fields, including healthcare.
This realization led me to my next position as Chief of Department for Supervision of Digital Projects for the Ministry of Health in Mexico. Here, I led a team of 32 state-level peers and oversaw a program that was the model for universal healthcare. Among my favourite projects during this time were a virtual campus of health in response to the H1N1 pandemic and an early-stage EHR and patient engagement software recognized by the World Bank.

After a few years in government, I transitioned to the private sector, where I led software products for some of the biggest companies in the world. I launched and led the User Experience area at Teran TBWA, part of Omnicom Group, before taking a break to learn my third language and surround myself with new and interesting software products in Germany.

This exploration period led me to found Theremin Digital Studio, a conceptual way of partnering up with other consultants to provide our services by designing, testing, launching, and learning from MVPs. Later, I founded Symmetric Paradox, where I led product teams within companies, recognized with two EFFIE awards and one local Web Experience award, to take ideas from 0 to 1 and beyond.
After travelling through Europe, Asia, and North America, absorbing everything I could about business models, multicultural approaches, and new products, I settled in Toronto, Ontario, in 2020 after collaborating with a Canadian startup and marrying an amazing Canadian software developer.
Today I belong to an amazing product team in charge of strategy and delivery of two product portfolios in the health tech industry in Houston. One portfolio focuses on solving the Sepsis problem in hospitals, the other in enabling the operation of public health authorities for vaccination, testing and other value-based services. I do this with team that follows the sun distributed in North America and Europe.
